According to sources from the Pocket-lint, HTC expected to launch a smartphone with a 3D screen before the end of the year or sooner. This step is taken HTC to anticipate  LG Optimus 3D.

These new devices mentioned will be lighter, thinner, and cheaper than LG Optimus 3D when launched later. However, there is no date certain when HTC will realize this. There are sources that say the device will be present at the end of 2011 but there is mention that the launch in the third quarter during the summer of 2011 so as not to lose momentum from LG.

This device could be the HTC Shooter. HTC Shooter itself has a 540×960 pixel screen specifications, supports CDMA networks, and new Snapdragon processor. LG Optimus 3D, using dual-core processors to support the 3D feature is used. Therefore HTC also be estimated using dual-core processor with a speed of 1.2 GHz possibility.
