Canon has announced two new compact cameras is the Canon PowerShot SX230HS and Canon IXY 31s.

Canon PowerShot SX230SH has sensors HS (High Sensitivity)  12.1MP resolution, DIGIC 4 processor is similar to the technology behind the S95 and G11, and the 14x optical lens. This camera also has a 3-inch screen, support SD card, SDHC, and SDHX, and ISO speed range from 100 to 6400.

Canon IXY 31s also not less sophisticated, is still the same as HS 12.1MP sensor and image processor DIGIC4. This camera is equipped with a 4.4x optical zoom capability and a 3.2-inch touch screen. Both models are also able to record HD video with a different picture mode settings and modes of creative image.

There are currently no detailed information regarding the date of the launch and availability of these two Canon compact camera. The price is notified when its release will follow later.
